Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Tuesday said that disciplinary action could be taken against Congress Members of Parliament from the Seemandhra region of Andhra Pradesh for giving notice for a no-confidence motion against the UPA-II Government.
Addressing a press conference here, Shinde said: "If there is any indiscipline, the party will take care of that."
He also said that Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar would decide on admitting the motion.
Six Congress MPs from Seemandhra, besides four TDP and three members of YSR Congress party have submitted separate notices to Meira Kumar for moving a no-trust motion.
On Tuesday, however, the no-confidence motion could not be taken in the House following adjournment.
A no-confidence motion can be taken up only if it has the support of at least 50 MPs.
