Former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma has joined the list of people criticising Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni after the team's humiliating series loss against Bangladesh.

"As an ex-cricketer, I have no sympathy with Dhoni. Like all other cricket lovers, I am also very unhappy with the way the team has performed. The team needed to be alert especially after the first loss," Sharma said.

He was also critical of Dhoni's decision of not playing Ajinkya Rahane in the second ODI, saying that a cricketer like Rahane deserved to be in the team.

Sharma opined that Dhoni's captaincy was missing the aggressive approach that was there some years back and praised Virat Kohli's decision of playing five bowlers in the test match against Bangladesh.

"If you want to win the matches you have to go on with five bowlers. Players like Ravindra Jadeja, who have scored 120 odd runs in last ten matches, were still playing in the side. It is time for the young cricketers to be included in the team," he said.

Dhoni offered to step down as skipper after India suffered its first ever series loss against Bangladesh on Sunday.
