Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday brushed aside Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a factor in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and said nobody is capable of winning in Bihar till he is there.

"Nitish Kumar is no factor to determine the results of the Lok Sabha elections. He is just roaming here and there to get help for these elections. Nobody can win in Bihar, till I am here," said Lalu.

He further stated that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be completely decimated in the elections.

Lalu, who was granted bail on December 13, was sentenced to five years in jail for siphoning off state funds in the fodder scam.

Lalu Yadav, 65, was convicted along with dozens of others for his part in a 1990s animal fodder racket in Bihar in which millions of dollars went missing. Yadav was the chief minister of Bihar for most of the 1990s and was succeeded by his wife.

Yadav also lost his seat in the Parliament, making him the first to be hit by the Supreme Court ruling in July - reflecting the popular mood - that convicts may not sit in legislatures even during an appeal.
