Non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued against two senior Pakisatn politicians in case relating to financial irregularities in the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
An anti-corruption court in Karachi issued the warrants against former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and a senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Makhdoom Amin Faheem.
According to Dawn News, a case has been registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) when Faheem was the commerce minister.
Also, the court had previously issued three notices to Gilani and Faheem, requiring them to appear before it.
The notices went ignored after which a bailable arrest warrants was issued against both leaders.
The court has issued non-bailable warrants and adjourned the hearing to June 17.
