A day after fighting with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday said he is not doing politics in Uttarakhand but is working honestly and added that people of all states must be safe and everyone must work together.
Rao claimed that TDP leaders were preventing the flood victims from boarding a flight arranged by the Andhra Pradesh government to Hyderabad.
"There is already a flight arranged by the government which is waiting for the pilgrims. TDP leaders stopped them from boarding the flight saying that they have already arranged another flight to take them to Delhi," Rao said.
"They snatched my boarding card and gave it to someone else. It is not right. We want that there should be no politics in this," he added.
He further said that we should work together and bring back all the citizens safely.
Rao and TDP MPs Ramesh Rathod and K Narayana Rao had a heated argument over whose flight should the pilgrims board.

Trouble began when TDP leaders led by party chief N Chandrababu Naidu landed at the Dehradun airport on a chopper from New Delhi to evacuate pilgrims from the State.
The TDP, which has been a step ahead of the State government in coming to the rescue of the pilgrims, had arranged a flight to Delhi and from there, another to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Naidu, who was present at the scene, termed the incident unfortunate and said it should not have happened and there should not be any competition over such a tragedy.
