Dr. Surendra Dubey, the principal of K.S. Saket P.G. College, on Thursday clarified that former Delhi law minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was not a student at his institution, adding that the establishment has refrained from taking any legal action against the Aam Aadmi Party MLA.
"We have not taken any legal action against him. Why should we? He was not a student of this college. We have not issued any mark-sheet to him, nor is his name on any class list issued by the university," Dr Dubey told ANI.
Meanwhile, Tomar's interim bail plea was rejected by a Delhi court today till the pendency of his application for regular bail.
Tomar, who is facing allegations of submitting forged education certificates while filing his nomination for the Delhi Assembly polls, was earlier on Tuesday sent to four-day police custody after being arrested in connection with the case.
