A Utah-based entrepreneur has invented a clip-on urinal that simply attaches to the side of a standard toilet bowl, and routes your urine safely where it needs to go, which means you can leave the toilet seat down at all times.

Inventor Dan Garvin said that the idea of the device, called The Main Drain, came about when he was 15 years old and had to share the bathroom with his three sisters, adding he would always get told off for leaving the seat up, or making a mess when he didn't aim well, the Daily Express reported.

The 27-year-old added that the product, which even allows people to sit on the lavatory while it's connected, definitely brings an end to arguments about men leaving the toilet seat up and also keeps the bathroom more clean and sanitary, and indulges guys in their lazy lifestyles.

Garvin noted that the product, which is essentially an attachable urinal with a few more benefits as it is not a permanent installation and can be installed and removed in seconds, is made of lightweight materials and can be adjusted so males of all ages can use it.

Garvin took six months to design the Main Drain, which costs 30 pounds or 45 dollars and can be pre-ordered on fundraising website Kickstarter.
