A new device, named Notch, is capable of detailing how much your body moves in a day, from the angle of your knee to the jut of your hip.

The new system has each sensor collecting accelerometer information, with up to 10 sensors funneling it all back to the user's phone at any given time.

CEO and co-founder Stepan Boltalin calls it "symbolic muscle memory," which is a method of quantifying the body's motion in a way that most athletes only know by feel.

Each sensor features a tiny vibration motor that enables haptic feedback to let a dancer know when they've strayed far from the pre-programed routine, the Verge reported.

At present there is only hardware, but Boltalin is hoping Notch's open API is going to inspire custom software for dancers, athletes, and other applications he hasn't even thought of.

The device is going to arrive on Kickstarter with three sister projects on January 28th.
