National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, who took part in this year's Republic Day celebration, called on Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at his residence here today.
Ansari, according to an official release, interacted with the volunteers and praised them for their significant contributions in social service beside their academic achievements.
He called upon them to follow their Motto and set their examples. He wished them good success in their career ahead.
NSS volunteers are given training in leadership development and parade apart from socio-culture and academic activities.
They stay in the Parade Camp in an atmosphere of exemplary harmony and lead very simple lives.
