Nykaa aiming to transform the face of beauty by 2020

Ahead of International Women's Day, Nykaa.com CEO Reena Chhabra expressed her views on what it feels like to be a woman.

"At Nykaa, we have women's day every day. A strong woman is one who engages in her beauty, and we see women all over the world indulging more in cosmetics," said Reena Chhabra, CEO FSN Brands, the private label arm of Nykaa.com.

Speaking to ANI, Chhabra revealed that Nykaa is looking to tap the potential of the retail market, with the launch of several new products and stores in the country, in spite of the recent economic slowdown.

"During demonetisation, sales were not affected at all. There was definitely a very momentary impact, but there was no visible decline during the initiative," she said.

"There is no other brand like Nykaa, which has transformed beauty digitally. Through our portal, we replicated retail stores online, thus helping more women learn from make-up tutorials and view products as they are launched," added Chhabra, speaking on the company's vision for 2020.

In her 20-year career in the retail industry, Chhabra has developed a reputation for being a strategist and an astute business planner. Her passion has always been to work with startups and she has been influential in scaling up profitable business.

Prior to joining Nykaa, she was the COO of Colorbar cosmetics where she grew the cosmetic brand to the top third slot in colour cosmetic industry.
