The Odisha Police on Tuesday arrested six persons of a gang of inter-state robbers and contract killers? in Jajpur district.
The Jajpur Road Police arrested them while they were preparing for a dacoity.
Four country made pistols, seven loaded magazines, 80 rounds of live ammunition, six mobile phones, one Indigo car and one Mahindra Bolero have been recovered from their possession.
Out of six arrested accused, three belong to Odisha and other three belong to Lohardega and Simdega Police Station limits of Jharkhand State.
From preliminary investigation it is found that one accused named Deepak Baburam Eka is involved in supari killing under Chhend Police Station of Rourkela.
According to Inspector-General (I.G) Soumendra Priyadarshi and Superintendent of Police (SP) Jajpur further investigation is underway.
