Veteran Spanish golf ace Miguel Angel Jimenez has said that he will not change his voracious lifestyle of drinking, smoking, skiing and 'having fun' following his becoming the first man over the age of 50 to win on the European Tour.
Known as 'The Mechanic', Jimenez's first victory at his home tournament, the Spanish Open, came at his 27th attempt following a three-way playoff against Australian Richard Green and Thomas Pieters of Belgium.
According to CNN, although many of his peers work out at the gym to get ready for major tournaments, Jimenez, however, continues with his love for drinking, smoking, skiing and spending time with his friends, which he admitted he never wants to stop.
The report mentioned that Jimenez's approach has brought out the best in him in his advancing years in the sport as of his 21 career wins on the European Tour, two-thirds of them have come in the last 10 years.
