Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed his hope that the Indian cricket team would return with the World Cup trophy after winning the quarter final and semi final matches.
"India hasn't lost any match in World Cup, and this is a big thing in itself. We are hopeful that India will win the quarter-final, semi-final and come back with the World Cup," said Omar.
India is currently battling Bangladesh in the World Cup quarter finals today. The defending champions batted first and scored 302 for six, with Bangladesh currently at 44 runs for two wickets.
