Bulgarian Police have arrested one suspect in the rape and murder case of journalist Viktoria Marinova, who was found dead in the town of Ruse four days ago.
The police have detained the suspect who is a Romanian citizen of Ukrainian origin for 24 hours, reported ABC.
Marinova was raped, strangled and dumped near the Danube River after she came upon a possible corruption in the government.
The highlighted corruption was allegedly about the misuse of European Union funds by the Bulgarian government, which she brought up in a show she hosted last month featuring two investigating journalists who were later detained for their work on suspected fraud.
