It turns out that one-third of scaredy cats Britons believe that their houses are haunted, while some even claim to have seen ghosts gliding in their corridors.
In a survey conducted by Confused.com, it was revealed that a quarter of people who felt that their house had something supernatural, were sure that some poltergeist had moved around their possessions, while one-sixth said their doors open or closed by themselves, the Daily Express reported.
Gareth Lane, head of home insurance said that thought such things are usually appeared on TV shows, some people really thought their home was haunted, while it might have been their neighbors causing the problems.
It study also showed that over a quarter of people would even not buy a house if they thought it was haunted, while two-fifth would not consider living in a house where something like a murder had taken place.
Meanwhile, one-tenth Brits even tries tried to contact the spirits to get an answer and a sixth had been forced to sell up and go somewhere else.
