OnePlus introduces OnePlus 2 with fingerprint scanner at $329

The smartphone also features a 13-mp rear camera with optical image stabilisation with dual LED flash and a laser focusing system

OnePlus has announced its flagship OnePlus 2 smartphone.

According to the Verge, OnePlus 2 comes with a 5.5-inch, 1080p screen, a 64-bit 1.8GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 16GB of storage with 3GB of RAM or 64GB of storage with 4GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization with dual LED flash and a laser focusing system. It also features a 5-megapixels front camera for selfies.

The OnePlus 2's frame is made of aluminum. OnePlus also has a range of new backs for the phone including two wooden options and Kevlar.

It also comes with a USB Type-C charging port on the bottom.

In addition, the OnePlus 2 now has a fingerprint unlock sensor which allows the users to quickly wake and unlock the device.

The OnePlus 2 is handset has added its own software Oxygen OS, based on Android 5.1.

Also, there are some new options included in the settings like a menu that allows the users to enable gestures to tap the screen to wake it or draw a circle on the screen to launch the camera.

In addition, when the users using the phone swipe to the left from their home screen, there is a space that collects their favorite contacts and most used apps. This feature is called the 'shelf'.

The OnePlus 2 will be accessible online through an 'invite' system and the users will only be able to preorder it if they get an invite.

The 16GB model will sell for $329, while the 64GB version will sell for $389.

The Chinese company will start delivering to the US, Europe and India by the middle of August.
