The CEO of an online store was busted for lifting a stranger's credit card and swiping it to settle his bar tab.
According to court papers, Jesse Bride, who runs trendy online store Steelos, used the credit card, which had been forgotten at the bar by a patron, to settle two 12 dollar tab at different bars before leaving a generous tip of 600 percent or 70 dollars with the stolen credit card, the New York Post reported.
Bride was drinking with a friend at Brother Jimmy's near East 77th Street, when he initially snatched the card issued by Charles Schwab from the bar counter.
He was caught after the victim returned to the establishment later the same night looking for his missing card, and when he asked the bartender, she realized that she may have processed the other person's card without looking at the name.
The police said that the bartender knew Bride's face and was able to pinpoint him.
Bride was then hauled into Manhattan Criminal Court in handcuffs.
