Floral sculptures of the globe, a house and bright coloured flowers mesmerised tourists visiting the 117th Floral Carnival being held here.
Carnations, roses and dazzling tulips took the crowds breath away.
The Department of Horticulture at the Botanical Gardens has organised the three-day event which began on Friday as a part of the summer festival.
Deputy Director Mani said: "We are organizing the 117th flower show. We have put up a big 24-height tumbler secretariat building with one lakh flowers. Flowers like carnations, roses are also on display. We have put up a globe of flowers representing the fact that India is exporting flowers. As a special case, we have imported tulips from The Netherlands and displayed it for the public."
More than 180 varieties of flowers, including roses, daisies, lilies and orchids have been put on display.
Visitors such as Lokesh said they were thrilled to see the show and described it as a novel experience.
Lakhs of visitors from all over the country are expected to visit this show.
