This year's 'Doctor Who' Christmas special will reportedly see Canadian Hollywood actor, Justin Chatwin playing a new character named 'Grant.'
The 33-year-old actor, who played a savvy drug dealer in the science fiction thriller, 'Orphan Black,' is joining the show as a new character, reports the Telegraph.
"Working with the amazing people at Doctor Who has been one of the most fun and rewarding projects I've ever had the pleasure of being involved with," the 'Shameless' actor said.
'Doctor Who' is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord, who is also a space and time-travelling humanoid alien. He explores the universe in his TARDIS, a sentient time-travelling space ship.
The 60-minute episode will be called 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio' and will see the Time Lord join forces with a superhero and a journalist to save New York from a deadly alien threat.
The cast reportedly include other stars like Adetomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Hoffman.
The 'Doctor Who' Christmas special will be broadcast on BBC One on Christmas Day.
