A Dhaka court started hearing of Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases this morning in presence of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the courtroom.
Bashudev Roy of the Special Judge's Court 3 began the hearing at around 11.05 a.m., reports the Daily Star.
The BNP chief reached the makeshift court in the Bakshi Bazar area around 11 a.m. in compliance with the court's earlier order.
The judge on October 26 ordered for her mandatory attendance today after Khaleda skipped three previous hearing dates on "grounds of security."
The last time she appeared for the court's hearing on the cases was on September 17.
