The Oscars have been mired in accusations of racism and when it came to blasting the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, host Chris Rock didn't hold back.
Kicking off his monologue with "Man, I counted at least 15 black people in that montage," Rock said that he didn't think it was worth it to cancel since the show would go on regardless. "Last thing I need is to lose another job to Kevin Hart. I don't need that."
Taking an aim at Jada Pinkett Smith, the 51-year-old actor said "What happened this year? People went nuts. Spike [Lee] got mad. Jada went mad. Will [Smith] went mad! Everyone went mad!"
He added, "Jada said she's not coming. I was like, 'isn't she on TV show?' Jada's gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited!"
Earlier, the comedian took to Twitter to show how he was preparing for his anticipated hosting gig. He tweeted "cutting the fat off my monologue #oscars," alongside a photo of him reviewing his opening address.
