Over 660 Indian nationals, who were evacuated from strife-torn Yemen, arrived in the country last night.
The Indian nationals were brought back by two IAF planes and a special Air India flight. The total number of evacuees who have been safely brought back home now stands at over 1,000.
Meanwhile, another batch of stranded Indians was received by their family members in Mumbai and Chennai this morning.
The rescued people stated that the situation in Yemen is still far from stable.
"The situation is still worse there. Bombing starts anytime during late hours," said Vipul Patel, who was among the ones rescued by the authorities.
The Ministry of External Affairs also announced today that Air India has brought back173 Indians on the first flight out of Sana'a to Djibouti.
"Families together. Opening a new route, Air India brings back 173 Indians on first flight out of Sana'a to Djibouti," MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
