There was hope for Australian cricket fans when a Gold Coast T20 park cricketer by the name of Jerome Jones smashed a world record 169 not out in 65 balls, which is more runs than what any of Australia's batsmen have managed in the two Ashes Tests.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the cricketer asked jokingly if he could do any worse than his performance and is ready to answer the call in Australia's hour of need.
Billed as the world's biggest amateur cricket league, Last Man Stands is an eight-a-side 20-over competition, with dozens of associations around the world, the report said.
