Australian sports products manufacturing company, Spartan Sports, has teamed up with Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to supply them with sporting apparel and equipment during the 2015 IPL season.
The partnership means CSK would wear Spartan manufactured team uniforms, along with Spartan branded training apparel and kitting.
The partnership represents Spartan Sports' launch into sporting apparel and is the first partnership the company has entered into with a sporting team.
This adds to its array of brand ambassador partnerships across a range of sports globally, with cricketers including Indian one-day captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Australian captain Michael Clarke and bowling spearhead Mitchell Johnson, England one-day captain Eoin Morgan, and explosive West Indian Chris Gayle.
Spartan's reach into other sports includes Australian Netball captain Laura Geitz, champion surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, Olympic beach ball gold medallist Natalie Cook and many others.
Managing Director of Spartan Sports, Kunal Sharma, said that they have always been looking to partner with top brands to keep the consistency with their own brand positioning, adding that the company has established itself as one of the top brands in sporting and fitness goods and CSK is one of the most recognised teams in the IPL.

Sharma revealed that they are launching Spartan into sports apparel segment very soon and this partnership is a perfect start for them.
CSK's K.S. Viswanathan said that they have seen evolving of Spartan Sports over last few years and feel that CSK could not have found a better brand than them to provide sporting apparel and kitting for the team.
Sharma also said that Spartan Sports goods are available at the leading sporting stores in India, insisting that they are in the process of establishing pan India distribution network to spread the reach of their sporting products as well as to launch Spartan sporting apparel and shoes.
