The father of new Arsenal player Mesut Ozil will reportedly take legal action against a fraud who had allegedly offered the former Real Madrid midfielder in a fake deal to Manchester United in Ozil Sr's name in the summer transfer window.
According to Metro.co.uk, Ozil, who joined Arsenal on deadline day for 42.5 million pounds from the Spanish giants, was reported to have been offered in writing to United on August 7, although his father Mustafa Ozil claimed that the offer came from an impostor.
Stating that he would have never dreamed it possible 'what some dodgy people venture to do', Ozil Sr. said that someone wanted to make contact with United in his name and even signed with his name, adding that it is no trivial offence.
Although it was claimed that Ozil Sr had offered his son to most of the top European teams, however, Ozil Sr. denied the claims, saying that he does not need to offer a player of his son's calibre to any club in the world.
