Olympic silver medallist P.V. Sindhu beat Rio Olympic gold medallist Carolina Marin to win the India Open Superseries title on Sunday.
The Indian badminton star added yet another title to her name after winning the final in straight sets 21-19 21-16.
Sindhu, who had earlier lost to Marin in Rio, never let her opponent dominate the match.
While the first game was a close affair, the second game belonged to Sindhu as she secured an early four-point lead.
The win gave Sindhu her first India Open title and second Superseries title after the China Open last year.
Sindhu had earlier defeated South Korean Sung Ji Hyun 21-18, 14-21, 21-14 in a titanic clash to progress into the finals.
Marin had thrashed Japanese Akane Yamaguchi 21-16 21-14 in the other semi-final clash to enter the finals.
