Former Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) chief Rajendra Pachauri, moved court on Wednesday to seek permission to rejoin his Delhi based think-tank, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
"We are only seeking one modification that on 21st March we were told that you are not supposed to enter TERI, and in fact, we have not entered since 18th of February. We are only seeking that now enough time has elapsed, let us enter in TERI and work. Let me (Rajendra Pachauri) work, that's it," said Pachauri's lawyer, Ashish Dixit.
Pachauri quit as chair of the United Nations panel of climate scientists in February, ending 13 years in charge of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning group, after a 29-year-old female employee accused him of sexual harassment.
Pachauri, who had been chairman of the IPCC since 2002, denies the allegation.
With investigations underway, a Delhi court order later prohibited him from entering TERI's premises or contacting any of the think-tank's officials.
The woman, a researcher at TERI, claims the 74-year-old scientist began harassing her soon after she joined TERI in September 2013.
