Filipino boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao is set to earn a whopping 1.5 million pounds through his boxing trunks, which he would wear during his super bout with unbeaten US boxing champion Floyd Mayweather on May 2.
Pacquiao is already taking home a career-best 54 million pounds from the highly anticipated bout at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena and his shorts would add another 1.5 million pounds to his purse.
The Filipino's shorts are being made extra long to fit in advertising logos from as many as 10 different companies and are set to be the most lucrative in the world, The Mirror reported.
Pacquiao's business manager Eric Pineda explained that the rate for this fight is different from the previous ones, adding that so far, they have six that would have their logos on the Filipino's trunks.
Pacquiao's earnings would still be dwarfed by Mayweather's wallet and the world's unbeaten pound-for-pound champion is receiving a purse of 80 million pounds for the welterweight showdown, the report added.
