Prominent Pakistani actor and musician Nadeem Jafri on Thursday sustained injuries after being attacked by suspected robbers in Karachi.
The incident took place when the robbers opened fire at Jafri in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city, the Express Tribune reports.
Television actor and host Fakhr-e-Alam took to Twitter to report about the incident, saying the 'Wrong No' actor received multiple bullet wounds in an alleged robbery incident outside his house at sehri time.
"My dear friend artist Nadeem Jafri was shot at multiple times at sehri time today in a robbery. He survived miraculously. Thank you Allah," Alam tweeted.
"Though Jafri survived the attack, the incident left his family 'shaken up'," Alam added.
Last week, Pakistani qawwali singer Amjad Sabri's unexpected death jolted the country's artist community.
A wave of grief and shock gripped the country when armed motorcyclists sprayed Sabri with bullets in broad daylight in Liaquatabad area when the 45-year-old was heading to a private TV channel to perform in its Ramazan transmission.
