In the attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp on Friday, six militants were neutralised by the security forces while a clearance operation was conducted for more hidden terrorists.

Six militants have been killed in an exchange of fire with security forces, Director-General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major-General Asim Bajwa said on Twitter.

Two security forces personnel were injured in the exchange of fire, one of whom has been identified as Major Haseeb of the Quick Reaction Force (QRF). He was evacuated to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Bajwa said.

The DG ISPR added that the attack was carried out by a group of seven to 10 terrorists who attacked the guard room at the camp early in the morning

Bajwa confirmed that around seven to 10 terrorists had attempted to break into the camp. The terrorists had been engaged and contained around the guard room area of the camp.

Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP) Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack at the Air Force Camp. TTP spokesperson Muhammad Khurasani claimed responsibility for the attack in an email sent to journalists.
