The Pakistan Army has reportedly told stranded tribals in North Waziristan to leave the area that is being targetted for militant activity under its Operation Zarb-i-Azb.
An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said Pakistan Air Force jets have carried out bombings and artillery shelled hideouts that have left 19 suspected militants dead, the Dawn reports.
The army has also claimed that it has arrested a suspected Al Qaeda militant.
The ISPR statement said most civilians have been evacuated from North Waziristan and to make sure that none are left, announcements are being made for them to leave.
This is reportedly the first time that security forces have made announcements asking people to leave before the ground offensive is launched fully.
Meanwhile, leaders of political parties attending a conference convened by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government in Peshawar, have cautioned against indefinite combat action, saying not giving a time frame as to when the operation will end is unwise and dangerous.

The military has claimed that they have killed Umar, a leader of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, near Miramshah, the administrative headquarters of North Waziristan.
