Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Islamabad is not considering any recommendation to grant India the most favoured nation (MFN) status in the near future.

Dar said that the first priority is to normalise the strained relations between the two countries on a number of issues, the Nawaiwaqt reports.

The statement comes after India had accused the Pakistan army of killing five soldiers at the Line of Control (LoC) on August 6.

However, the accusation has been rejected by Pakistan.

According to the report, Dar further said that India has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement by open-firing in several sectors along the LoC since the August 6 incident.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan to the Foreign Office to express concerns over these violations.
