Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Chairman Arshad Aziz is reportedly thrilled by the response he has been receiving from exhibitors at the 'Made In Pakistan Expo 2014' in Mumbai.
The Chairman said that about 45% stalls have already been booked by exhibitors.
Aziz said that long-term business deals between the two countries will help flourish bilateral trade and Pakistan's value-added sector could be given a big boost, adding that PRGMEA has asked the Indian government to reduce the duty tariff on Pakistan's garments and remove non-tariff barriers imposed by Indian government on its exports, the Express Tribune reported.
The expo, endorsed by the ministry of commerce and the textile industry, will begin on April 3 and do on until April 7.
Meanwhile, to ensure that Pakistani exhibitors make maximum profits, Pakistani trade delegations will be visiting India at the time of expo.
