The Pakistan High Commission has formally approached the Ministry of External Affairs to share details of seizure of two Pakistan boats and crew members, say reports.
The Indian Navy and the Coast Guard had earlier on Tuesday confirmed the news of intercepting a boat off the Porbandar coast that came from Pakistan.
A television channel reported that large quantities of heroin and satellite phones were allegedly seized from the boat that had eight men on board. All eight have reportedly been arrested, it added.
Two Indian Navy ships, one Coast Guard ship and the Navy's surveillance aircraft, Dornier were reportedly used to nab the boat.
