Pakistan is hoping to capitalize on the return of skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and veteran batsman Younis Khan in order to stage a strong comeback in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, beginning on Tuesday.
Pakistan suffered a historic whitewash at the hands of Bangladesh in the one-day series and subsequently incurred their first-ever defeat against the Asian rivals in a T20 international.
Commenting on the return of the senior players into the Test fold, 19-year-old batsman Sami Aslam said that they are very experienced and Pakistan has usually done well when they are around, Sport24 reported.
Describing both Misbah and Younis as the 'world-class' players, Aslam stated that they are sure to make the difference in the series.
While Misbah, who announced his one-day retirement following the conclusion of the World Cup, will make a return to the international stage for the Test series, Younis is only 506 runs behind from becoming Pakistan's leading Test scorer.
