Pakistan's Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed an intra-court plea that sought disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for reportedly misinforming the Parliament about the army's role as an 'arbitrator' in the ongoing political crisis.
According to the Dawn, a two-member council consisting Justice Faisal Zaman and Justice Ajjazul Hassad heard the plea and later dismissed it.
Deputy Attorney General Waqas Dar said that the parliament's decisions could not be challenged in any court but if people had objections, they could appeal to the Speaker of the Assembly.
Justice Shah had dismissed petitions by Sindhu alleging that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Sharif had lied to the parliament about the army's role.
The petition said that the Prime Minister had disobeyed the constitution of Pakistan.
