Militants in Pakistan have reportedly freed four Iranian soldiers who were abducted and taken into Pakistan.
Five border guards were kidnapped in February by the militant group Jaish al-Adl.
The militants had demanded that Iranian authorities free 300 Sunni prisoners held by Iran and its close ally Syria in exchange for the guards, the BBC reported.
While the militants handed over four guards to Iranian officials, they said that they had killed the fifth man.
Jaish-ul Adl said on its Twitter account that it had freed the soldiers at the request of eminent Sunni clerics in Iran, the report added.
