Pakistan Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the prevailing tension between India and Pakistan can be resolved through talks and not through aggressive means.

Sanaullah has ensured that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has always pursued peaceful means of negotiations to sort out disputes and this time also they will bring the issue to the table for resolving it, the Nawaiwaqt reports.

The statement comes after the reports of senseless firing at several sectors along the LoC have emerged following the August 6 incident, the report added.

According to the reports, Sanaullah has also declared that the elections for the Local Government will be held in September on the existing delimitation of constituencies.

He further said that Federal and provincial Governments will honour the demand of the Election Commission for deployment of Army, Rangers and police.

He added that fresh delimitations will be carried out in November.
