Pakistan Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said Islamabad has never closed its doors for peace talks and is always ready for talks with India.
In an apparent attack on India, he said, "No country should try and hide behind the word terrorism and divert attention from demands of freedom."
He told PTV, "We should not just point fingers at each other and then go our ways, we should sit and talk out issues."
Explaining his absence from the official lunch hosted for SAARC Home Ministers, Chaudhry said, "Indian Home Minister (Rajnath Singh) told me that he will attend the official lunch If I am attending, but unfortunately I had another meeting."
During his speech, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh made veiled comments against Pakistan, saying mere condemnation of terrorism was not enough.
He categorically stated that there is no good or bad terrorist. Singh said strongest action should be initiated not only against terrorists but also against organisations, individuals and nations supporting terror.
