Pakistan's Parliamentary Committee on National Security has sought a briefing on banned outfits' reported Facebook presence.
The briefing will be convened by the committee on June 15.
The matter of reported activities of banned outfits on Facebook was raised by the PPP and Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaaf (PTI) lawmakers Sherry Rehman and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Tuesday's meeting of the committee, the Dawn reported.
Speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq chaired the meeting.
The meeting had been convened to discuss Pakistan's legal strategy regarding alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav ongoing case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Speaking to media, Rehman and Qureshi said they were very surprised to find that banned outfits were operating openly on Facebook.
Qureshi said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar should brief the committee members regarding the banned outfits' activities online in the next meeting.

Speaker Sadiq informed that the government will brief the parliamentary body in the next meeting.
He said that Adviser to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will also brief the participants regarding the Muslim leaders' summit, held recently in Riyadh.
Earlier, Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf, National Security Advisor Nasir Janjua, Advisor on Foriegn Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Secretary Foriegn Affairs Tehmina Janjua briefed the committee about Pakistan's legal strategy about alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav's case in a closed-door meeting.
Speaker Sadiq informed that Attorney General Ausaf will lead Pakistan's legal team, scheduled to leave for The Hague on June 5.
He added that the legal team would meet the president of the ICJ on June 8.
