Col (Retd.) Danvir Singh has said that Pakistan adopts dual policy on terrorism, one part of it is India specific while the other is to please America and other western powers.

Speaking to ANI, Singh said, "Prime Minister's statement on Pakistan yesterday was needed to boost the morale of the army. I would like to say that Pakistan has adopted a dual policy on terrorism, one part of it is India specific which they refer to as strategic elements and use it to progress their foreign policy towards India".

He said, "Another part of it is to please America and other western powers to get aid. If Pakistan is suffering from terrorism then it is because of its own actions and not because of us".

Reacting to Pakistan government's statement of calling Prime Minister's statement 'baseless rhetoric', Singh said that Pakistan is trying to deflect the main issue of state sponsored terrorism and proxy war.

He also said, "Pakistan adopted dual policy in 1977 during the time of Zia Ul Haq. The civilian government of Pakistan wants friendly ties with India but their Military doesn't. That's why whenever our leaders visit the border areas or Pakistani leaders visit India their Military indulges in such activities".
