Commenting on Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's maiden bilateral visit to Nepal, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha today said that the PM should make sure that the Pakistan and China factor in Nepal gets lessened to the advantage of India.

"The Prime Minister must make sure that Pakistan and China factor in Nepal gets lessened to the advantage of India. Nepal has diversity in opinions and Modi should respect all the opinions," said Jha.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon, however, said that there are few issues that need to be handled with sensitivity.

"We give our wishes to the Prime Minister because we want good relations with Nepal. There are issues which need to be handled with sensitivity and we should always try that our relations with neighbouring countries are good," said Memon.

"There are many issues in which there is no unanimity and we expect the Prime Minister to prioritise the benefits for our country," he added.

PM Modi reached Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today for his maiden bilateral visit to fellow SAARC nation Nepal, where he was given a Guard of Honour.
