An Indian fishermen association says Pakistan captured two boats and detained 12 fishermen near international maritime boundary.
The General Secretary of National Fish Workers Forum, Manish Lodhari, said that they got information from a non-government organisation.
"There was news that Pakistan captured two Indian boats and 12 fishermen three days back. The news has been confirmed to us by an NGO that the boats and men have reached Pakistan," Lodhari said.
Lodhari added that this was the seventh such incident in three months and claimed that Pakistan captured a total of 850 boats and detained around 500 fishermen.
Meanwhile, patrolling has been stepped up along the Porbandar port in Gujarat.
Pakistan maritime authorities had earlier arrested 58 Indian fishermen and took into custody their ten boats for illegal fishing.
