Both, India and Pakistan, are geared up to renew their intense cricket rivalry in the Asia Cup one-day tournament, which starts on Tuesday in Bangladesh.

The two teams have faced each other only five times in ODI and three times in Twenty20 cricket matches since the World Cup semi-final in 2011.

According to the Express Tribune, India and Pakistan's most recent encounter was when India won a rain affected match in Birmingham in the Champions Trophy last June.

Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq said that it had always been a challenge playing against India and they have to give it their best to win the game.

The report also said that instead of inspirational captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, top order batsman Virat Kohli would lead five out of the eleven titles winner India in Asia Cup 2014.

Pakistan who won the 2012 Asia Cup in Dhaka, begin the five-nations series as the defending champions and would face Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, the report added.
