Pakistan has reportedly bagged the second position in an international judo championship with three gold medals, three silver and six bronzes, next to India on top and Nepal at third position.
According to the Express Tribune, Pakistan's Hussain Shah bagged a gold in the under 100kg event, and Ahmed Shehzad in the over 100kg event, while Humera Ashique bagged a gold in the 48 kg event at the South Asian Judo Championship in Katmandu.
Silver medal winners for Pakistan are Afzal Basir in the 90kg competition, female athlete Maryam Jabbar in 52kg event, and Beenish Khan in the 78kg competition, the report added.
The Pakistani players who reportedly bagged the Bronze medals are Yasir Khan in the -66kg event, Karamat Butt in the 81 kg category, Shumaila Gull in the 57kg event and Fouzia Mumtaz in the 70kg event.
