The banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan have reportedly expressed their regret on PTI chief Imran Khan and JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah's decision to not be a part of the committee chosen by the outfit to hold talks with the government.

TTP spokesman Sahidullah Shahid said that the group regretted the decision of PTI and JUI leaderships about distancing their representatives from the proposed peace talks.

Meanwhile, Khan's Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson said that the politician will not be a part of the team representing the Taliban in peace talks as senior party figure Rustam Shah Mohmand was already on the government team and could represent the PTI at the talks, the BBC reported.

Pakistani politician Imran Khan, who was nominated by the militant group for his "good deeds", refused to represent the Taliban at the peace talks, inspite of being a staunch supporter of the initiative.
