A parent's committee has come forward urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to cancel an Elton John concert in Russia.
The parent's group, who is worried that the singer will come out in support of "sodomites" and break the current law, is directed at protecting children, Sky News reported.
The group wrote an open letter to the Russian president saying that the veteran performer plans to violate a ban on "homosexual propaganda" with his performance in Russia.
The law is apparently a part of a broader attempt by Putin to win over Russians in the mostly conservative country, which has protested against his rule.
