Both houses of the Parliament have been adjourned for the day following uproar over demonetisation.
A united Opposition attempted to corner the government as they raised slogans against demonetisation.
Taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party's Naresh Agarwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi equated every decision taken by the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led party during its tenure as hit wicket.
Agarwal responded bitterly, saying the BJP is resorting to "bhaandgiri" as they are in power.
Taking strong objection to the word used by Agarwal, Naqvi dubbed it "unparliamentary" and said that it "must be expunged".
Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh told the Lok Sabha that the government is ready to debate all issues put forth by the Opposition.
He said the Centre is ready to incorporate the suggestions, if any, received from the opposition. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge asked the government not to send wrong message by putting the onus on opposition members for repeated disruptions.
The Parliament was earlier adjourned till 2 p.m.
