Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting senior cabinet ministers on Monday to look for ways to end the ongoing logjam in the monsoon session of Parliament over an opposition demand for ministers to resign for their alleged involvement with former IPL czar Lalit Modi and the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

Modi is also likely to intervene during discussions on the matter in Parliament, which has been a long-standing demand of the opposition.

This was disclosed by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday. He said that if Prime Minister Modi is required to intervene, he would do so.

An all party meeting is also being held today to search for ways to end the logjam in Parliament.

Meanwhile, the Centre has ruled out the possibility of its ministers resigning over their alleged involvement in the above two issues.

Opposition parties led by Congress are demanding the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Scindia and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

On Sunday, the Congress said that the logjam in Parliament will continue unless all corruption issues involving the BJP are resolved.
