The Algeria passenger plane flying to Burkina Faso that went missing yesterday with 116 passengers on board has been found in Mali, say officials.
The condition of passengers cannot be confirmed but the team is working hard, said a Burkina Faso army general.
The French President's office confirmed that French troops had been sent to the site.
Air traffic controller had lost contact with the aircraft yesterday after the pilot had reported severe storms, reports the BBC.
The flight AH 5017 had 51 French citizens.
According to reports, French President Francois Hollande had expressed solidarity among the friends and families of the passengers on boards.
